An afternoon of massages and dukkah

One of my 52’s this year was to get a massage, because who needs an excuse, right? As a bonus, last year my work all chipped and bought us an amazing wedding gift –  an afternoon at Iketan Day Spa in Noosa. It’s been a bit of a crazy start to the year, which meant we hadn’t had a good opportunity to use it.

I finally chose a random weekend we had spare, called and booked it. Later, I realised I had booked it the day after our monthly anniversary date, so I pretended it was intentional.

Awesome weekend

I didn’t have the greatest Monday, so tonight I’m reflecting on the weekend just passed. So much done, and all so enjoyable!

There are some seriously major perks to my life.

The Swayns

I’m kicking myself for not getting any photos! Saturday morning started with an awesome breakfast down in Caloundra, visiting the Swayns. Amber and David, along with the entourage of the twins, Amelia and Bonnie, and solo male child, Jack, were all down from Townsville. We spent a few hours enjoying some good food and chatting. I picked Amber’s brains about babies and parenting in general, and getting tips on encountering rude ladies at the shops. It was awesome to catch up after so long!

52 in 52: the 2017 *revised* edition

We’ve just hit the 6th month of the year – nearly half way. This morning I took the opportunity to review my 52 list and what I still had left. I’ve been planning on doing this for a while, because let’s face it, there are some I’m just not going to be able to achieve anymore.

There is no way I can hold a hold a 3 minute plank. Not when I’m already 20 weeks pregnant, and due to give birth mid October. I can’t see myself being able to get that level of fitness post-baby. As a friend put it, if I can hold a 10 second plank that’s probably impressive. Mainly because I found the time to actually do a plank.
