2017 52 in 52: round up

On the last day of the year it’s time for a final round up of how I went with my 52 in 52. If you’re new to my 52 in 52 list, you can see an explanation here (and a revised list here).

Final tally: 38 out of 52 were completed.

Here’s the thing. At the start of this month I still thought it was possible to achieve them all. I started pushing hard to get things done.

Then I realised I was sacrificing my family time.

I wanted to spend time focusing on my baby rather than logging hours in front of the computer, or reading, or whatever the challenge was. I wanted to be with the husband when he got home. I wanted to spend time on me by going to the gym.

The 52 list needed to take a back seat.

So how did I do this year? In my opinion I did bloody great!

Let’s look at all my achievements for the year.

So what didn’t get done? It’s irrelevant. I’m celebrating the success of 2017. These items were done in amongst moving house, being pregnant and giving birth. It’s fair to say I’ve had my hands full with bigger priorities.

Farewell 2017. You’ve been one hell of a year.
