52 in 52: the 2017 edition

I’m doing things a little bit differently this year, as I haven’t done my recap of last year just yet. Instead, I’ve spent hours working through doing a 2016 month-by-month recap. It’s the first day of January, and I’ll be a little gutted if I don’t get this out, so I’m posting this first and I’ll come back later to do my 52 list review for last year.

So without further delay:

Cooking

  • Eat a bowl of fried rice with chopsticks
  • Make something for Nonna to try (If she likes it I pass my wedding vow)
  • Learn how to make an Italian food

Shopping

  • Buy a pair of coloured heels (Check out the cool ones at pimpos)

  • Sew clothing to wear
  • Paint a cup
  • Make a movie
  • See an A-League Game

  • Learn all the words to Kriss Kross Jump
  • Read a book at the beach

  • Make a wedding book
  • Do something special to celebrate our first wedding anniversary
  • Print a wedding photo to hang on the wall

Social

  • Reverse advent calendar (every day for December put something into a care package, and donate it all at the end of the month)
  • Have a picnic in the hinterlands
  • Go camping with friends
  • Write Christmas cards (every year I love the cards  I receive, so it’s about time I did it)
  • Organise a social event with people at work
  • Visit someone I haven’t seen in a while
  • Have an online dinner party
  • Wear an ugly Christmas sweater to a social gathering

House

  • Learn how to use a whipper snipper
  • Paint a wall
  • Declutter one of our cupboards
  • Learn how to do something new around the house.
  • Plant some items in the yard

I’m also putting in a big fat disclaimer that I reserve the right to change any of these if for some reason there’s a reason why they can’t be completed.

So….anyone interested in joining me for any of these??

  1. Hell yes I want to be a part of it! I have a book recommendation: the widow by fiona barton. Also, i just thought of a new one, maybe next year? Maintain a letter writing relationship with someone from far far away. ie you have to actually write and post letters. I’m up for this if you are x

  2. What a fantastic 52 in 52 list for 2017! I would love to participate and join you in achieving some of your goals 🙂 Especially the ugly sweater Christmas Dinner party. I’ll go online now and see what ugly-sweater post Christmas bargains I can find! Also another book recommendation and one that you can borrow is ‘Beautiful’ by Katie Piper.
