52 in 52: 2024 Edition

Why is it that just when I think I’ve finalised something, and I’m ready to publish it, I then spend another 20 minutes tearing it to pieces and re-adding things?

I finally reached the point that I’m sick of thinking about it, so without further ado, here’s this year’s list.


Hobby

  1. Learn Calligraphy
  2. Read/list to 12 books
  3. Finish an online course
  4. Organise my craft drawers
  5. Frame my word of the year
  6. Finish hanging photos around the house
  7. Use my SUP
  8. Start a language course on Duolingo
  9. Complete a craft project using a new technique
  10. Read the book “Atomic Habits” (separate from the other reading goal)
  11. Complete a crochet or cross-stitch project

Fitness

  1. Run 5km non-stop
  2. Complete my first marathon
  3. Complete a strength training project
  4. Run more kilometres than last year in 2023 Run Down Under (current mileage to date: 3,838.23. I need to export all my activities and work out what my 2023 total was though)
  5. Start a 1km intentional daily run streak
  6. Participate in Park Run regularly again
  7. Complete a squat challenge
  8. Complete a pushup challenge
  9. Complete a plank challenge
  10. Lose 10kg

Health and Well-Being

  1. Regularly spend time meal planning
  2. Get a breast scan
  3. Continue my care plan with my dentist (I have a buttload of fillings to get, and a crown)
  4. Get a massage
  5. Get a pedicure
  6. Get my eyebrows done
  7. Cook 10 new meals
  8. Get a pap smear
  9. Try a new cleaning routine
  10. Clean out my wardrobe (revisit clothes I’ve put away)
  11. Get out of my comfort zone

Family/Relationship

  1. Reinstate regular date nights
  2. Go hiking with my family
  3. Get professional family photos
  4. Go for a family bike ride
  5. Go fruit picking

Travel

  1. Visit someone I haven’t seen for a long time
  2. have a weekend away with my husband
  3. Have a weekend away with my family
  4. Go camping where we’ve never been before
  5. Visit Wet ‘n’ Wild
  6. Go on a road trip
  7. Play the roadtrip car game
  8. Take the caravan on holidays more often

Finance

  1. Buy some recovery thongs/flip flops (for post-long run)
  2. Make a doomsday plan

Social Kindness/Giving Back

  1. Donate blood
  2. Do something kind for a stranger
  3. Volunteer somewhere
  4. Pay for something for a stranger
  5. Send someone flowers
