I didn’t really know what to write about today, so I figured I’d talk about my newest obsession.
I’m super late to the party but I’ve just recently discovered how awesome the TV show “The Office” is. I haven’t watched the UK one yet, but it’s on the list!
If you haven’t seen it, it’s a mockumentary of a Paper Company in Scranton. This show is funny, really funny. There’s bumbling idiots, there’s high level intelligence, bad puns….all of it. And as usual my husband doesn’t find it funny, which means it’s incredibly funny.
There are notable characters like:
The immature and unintelligent yet also brilliant and loveable boss Michael:
The charming, good looking, also happens to be on an amazing show about a spy (Jack Ryan) salesman Jim. Fun fact: kinda been on a John Krasinski crush lately by accident; he’s amazing in Jack Ryan, and he’s done so much stuff since The Office as well (I won’t write it all here and bore you since it’s all over the internet).
Sassy receptionist Pam (I won’t say much more to avoid spoiling anything) – best buds in the office with Jim
Super crazy and intense Dwight, arch nemesis of Jim, butt of many jokes. He’s amazing and possibly one of my new all time favourite TV characters. I would hate to work with him.
- Forever pissed off accounts lady
- Overweight but lovable accounts
- the list goes on…
Honestly there are so many incredible characters in this show you’ll always have a favourite.
Best quotes (without quoting the usual ones – that’s what she said etc)
I talk a lot, so I’ve learned to tune myself out.Kelly Kapoor
This one speaks to my heart. I talk far too much, and now I fear that I’ve also learned to tune myself out.
I am running away from my responsibilities. And it feels good.Michael Scott
Honestly, haven’t we all dreamed about doing this at some point?
Anywayyyyy I’m going to finish this episode and go to bed since it’s getting late. I’m midway through season 8 out of 9 seasons, so not long left to go! No spoilers! But if you want a laugh, take a look at some of Michael Scott’s greatest quotes, there’s some crackers in there.
And if there’s an absolute classic TV series I should watch let me know! I’ve heard on the grapevine that Schitt’s Creek is meant to be good, so I might watch that next!
