Birthday festival day 2

Today we continued with the festivities for Luca’s birthday, with a family gathering for my husband’s side of the family.

The day started off with Luca waking and playing with his toys in excitement. While my hubby got to work on the cake for day 3 (because of course there’s 3 days) I took the little man off to soccer. It’s about a 40min class, and after about 15-20mins he was wrecked. He had a big day today, and finally it all felt a bit much. He laid down on the floor, and when I picked him up he snuggled in. Kel turns 31

This week I turned 31, which means I can now say that I'm officially in my 30's. Right? Or could I have said that the day after I turned 30? Either way, whatever. I'm in my 30's. Embracing it baby!

I didn't really want to do anything this year; I guess having had a bigger themed birthday party last year was enough for me for a while. I did the usual dinner with my parents, although this time Mario's parents were up as well. We all went to the amazing Piano Bar for dinner on the Sunday, and as usual were rewarded with some amazing tapas. Heyyyy…I’m 29 and had an awesome weekend

So today begins the last year of my 20's, as I have now hit the ripe old age of 29. Just in time to get my life sorted for the 30's; there's no better time than now!

Courtesy of my amazing friends and family, I had an absolute cracker of a weekend. It began Friday night when a friend and I headed down to the local stadium to watch the QLD Reds take on the chiefs, which they unfortunately lost. However it did mean that I met my new favourite player, only for the extremely shallow reason that he is gorgeous. Other than that I don't really follow Rugby Union. [...]  read more
