Week 4 diet measurement results

Last post I was talking about how it was the beginning of the milestone week for my diet, which meant re-taking measurements to see how much I have changed. The best part about taking measurements is that while the scales show some sort of drop, it's not until you can say “I have lost x amount of centimetres from around my hips” that you truly feel the difference.

It's empowering.

It makes you want to keep going.

So how did I fare? I am freaking stoked with the results.

First up, my weight.

This was done on Wednesday and its now Saturday. From jumping on the scales again since (yeah yeah I know I shouldn't) I've actually dropped another half kilo since. Woohoo! Although that may have changed since yesterday, because I did consume several alcoholic beverages last night (and it was GREAT). read more

12wbt: the fourth week begins

Yesterday marked the official beginning of the 4th week of 12WBT (Michelle Bridge's 12 Week Body Transformation), while simultaneously being the second “milestone” week. Basically it means that on weigh in day this week (Wednesdays) you have to take some measurements to really see exactly how well you are faring.

I'm expecting a pleasing result.

The way the weeks work can be a little confusing, since my first “milestone” week and official weigh in day was in week 1. To compare that to this week, it really only means there has been 3 weeks since my last weigh in. read more

How I’m losing weight

3kg down baby!

Everything is going along nicely, and apart from the first few days where I really struggled hunger wise, everything has been quite good. I thought I would share the tools that I'm using to ensure my weight tracking graph stays on the decline path since who knows, it might help someone else!

At the end of the day, true weight loss is down to diet and exercise, so I have broken it down into those two sections. read more

It’s that weight loss time again

As a result of my recent travels to Melbourne and Bali (which yes, I’m still slowly blogging about), I have grown a food baby.

I could say a big ass and thighs, but they were already there.

So it’s time to do something about that, since it’s winter and with time on my side I could have a banging body come summer. I’ve also made a challenge with a friend that I will wear a bikini in a month for a girls weekend, so some of this belly and bum will have to go. And that bum is not Kim Kardashian like where it’s huge but it still somehow manages to be super hot. This bum is big, floppy and as white as can be (it does not ever see the daylight, also unlike Kim Kardashian’s bum, but I won’t go there). read more
